Become a Green Jack this Spring!  Meetings are held every week in the NAU Health and Learning Center room 2405/7 at 3pm (you have to take the stairs, not the escalator).

The NAU Green Jacks are an informal network of students and groups that strengthen their knowledge of the NAU environmental scene by participating in team meetings and social events, and by forming multi-disciplinary committees on current sustainability issues relevant to campus and Flagstaff.  The Green Jacks are a principle group of the ASNAU sustainability committee, and work with student groups and departments such as Sierra Club, Athletics, Environmental Caucus, Office of Sustainability, The Green Fund, Green NAU, WACBAT, etc.Last semester the Green Jacks hosted such events as Park(ing) Day 2011, Flagstaff’s Green Drinks, and Community Solar Day in partnership with Solar Mosaic LLC.

Spring 2012 the Green Jacks are focused on helping student groups promote and incorporate sustainability with the Green Jacks Spring Seminar Series, and Earth Week 2012.  Look for Green Jacks Sustainability Socials including hiking and movies at the start of the semester!

If you are a person or student group interested in incorporating sustainability on campus and in the community – Green Jacks is the place to get plugged in and learn what everyone is up to!
